Recalling my first stay in Florence on Via del Ghirlandaio

and the unforgettable portraits of the shepherds , so Contemporary in the portrayal of expression 

What I didn’t realise ( location wise ):

The Madonna and Child of Cimbabue

as well as the Adoration of the Magi of Gentile da Fabriano 

were housed here at this very location before they went to the Uffizi

( there could have been other churches named Santa Trinità)
