many pieces of ceramic tiles
left unattended
on a terracee
where children in the past
used to climb up
to secretly explore
the reachable garden of my house
many years later
when I began to move in
couple of times
thieves paid visits
perhaps
from the same path
those children used
Took the ceramic pieces of tiles
some broken
some not
placed them on the unpaved space
of the external
resting ambience
with a pavilion yet to be created later
invented methods of adhering tiles on the ground
without cement
would they adhere or would they not
but to secure them permanently
was not the first concern
like a theatre backdrop
ready for the temporary show
and ready for the go
some calligraphic Chinese poems
were asked to place
on these empty tiles
to give them some weight
to replace the cement not yet done
Li Po
the drunken soul of all poems
came into mind
seeing those moving kind of tiles
which verse
yes that one
that every Chinese soul smiles ( feeling finally free ) when heard:
Let yesterday say
farewell
in yesterday's role
Let today's burden
creep into
today's soul
Behold
the wind that sees departure
of the swallows in Fall
A thee
I compose and sing
verses of Spring
in the pavilions of height
remember
the words with weight of paradise
frames of structure so refined
of our beloved mind
that young Tse's distinguished sign
strength
fly with flight
poetic path of height
reaching
the moon
in the clear sky
of jade
with a sword in hand
I cut
the waterflow
the more
I cut
the more it flows
with a cup in hand
I pray sadness within
to free its means
the more I pray
the more it stays
Too much burden
this life turmoil
undo my hair
tomorrow
embark upon
A deserted boat
off I go
